The product

What is DOLFINUS?

DOLFINUS makes swimwear with integrated buoyancy support, particularly men’s swim shorts. A support feature sits around the waistband area, and the shorts keep the look and format of swimwear.

How does the support feature work?

The feature is integrated into the waistband area and is intended to provide additional buoyancy support. Full specifications will be published here once they are verified.

Does it replace a life jacket?

No. DOLFINUS swimwear does not prevent drowning and is not a substitute for appropriate flotation equipment or active supervision.

Can someone who can’t swim rely on it?

No. DOLFINUS swimwear is not a substitute for appropriate flotation equipment or active supervision, whatever your swimming ability.

Are there other styles?

This site covers men’s swim shorts. Women’s swim skirts and children’s styles are sold in Türkiye; we’ll announce them here if they are confirmed for Canada and the United States.

Choosing and care

How do I choose my range?

Options are selected by body weight, not clothing size. Check your current body weight before you choose, and wear the shorts as directed.

What if I’m right on the line between two ranges?

TODO: Manufacturer’s guidance for a body weight exactly on a boundary, such as 70 kg.

What are they made of, and how do I wash them?

A lightweight quick-dry nylon blend. Machine wash cold and line dry, following the garment’s care instructions.
